About the Leavenworth Regional Catholic School System
Firmly Rooted In Faith and Our Community
The Leavenworth Regional Catholic School System is a school system deeply rooted in the Leavenworth community. Our schools have been educating children of our community since the first school, commissioned by Bishop Miege, welcomed students in 1858. Mother Xavier Ross, summoned by Bishop Miege, formed The Sisters of Charity Leavenworth who staffed our schools during their formative years. When the cornerstone of our Upper School, Immaculata was laid in 1923, 10 years after the first graduating class, a rich tradition of Catholic education was firmly cemented in the Leavenworth Community.
The Leavenworth Regional Catholic School System (LRCSS) now encompasses two campuses, Xavier Preschool and Extended Care and Xavier Catholic School; serving families and their children from Pre-K through grade 8. It is our greatest desire to partner not only with our parish families but also with any Catholic or non-Catholic parents and families in the formation of their children. At LRCSS, you will find a uniquely faithful, achieving, personal, and sacramental approach to education.
